What information is needed to order the Vital Link Medical Alarm service?
Name, Complete Address, Phone Number of person using the system, Type of System (Landline, Cellular, or Mobile), Choice of Transmitter Type (Neck or Wrist), and a Valid Credit Card. Optional information including response protocol can be added at a later time.
What is the return policy?
Thirty days money back guaranteed. No questions asked. Just give us a call and we will handle the logistics. Upon receipt of the equipment you will be issued a refund minus any return shipping charges.
How far will the medical alert button reach?
Your Vital-Link will reach up to 1000 feet from the base console. We encourage our customers to test their transmitter all over their home.
Where are Vital-Link's monitoring stations located?
Vital-Link partners with three monitoring centers ALL of which are owned and operated in the USA. The centers are in Ohio, Alabama, & Utah.
From when I say go, how long until the Vital-Link system is fully functioning in my home?
Three to Four business days.
What about the installation of the Vital-Link system?
Installation’ is a bit of an overstatement as the Vital-Link system only has to be plugged into a power source (and into a phone jack for the LAND LINK). We are available to walk you through this if necessary.
Can more than one person use the Vital-Link system?
Yes of course you can. If you would like an extra button for a second person to wear there is an additional cost of $3.00 per month.
Do I have to wear my Vital-Link pendant around my neck?
No, for LAND LINK and CELL LINK systems a wrist transmitter is available. The MOBILE LINK is only available to be worn around the neck. Fall detection also can only be offered on a neck button.
How large is the pendant that I'd wear around my neck or wrist?
The pendant is relatively small. It is a bit larger than a quarter and smaller than a half dollar. It weighs approximately 3/4 of an ounce.
How do the paramedics gain entry to my home at the time of an emergency?
Either a responder must have a key to let them in or you can get a lockbox and our monitoring center will give the EMT’s the code to unlock the key in the event of an emergency.
I live in Michigan during the summer and Arizona during the winter, can I move the system?
Yes. Vital-Link allows an address change up to 4 times per year. It is VERY important to let us know PRIOR to moving the system so that we don’t send help to the wrong address.
Can I use my Vital-Link in the shower?
Yes. All of our transmitters are meant to be worn in the shower and we highly recommend our customers do as so many accidents happen in the bathroom.
What happens if I lose power?
Vital-Link systems have a backup battery that will power the system for up to 30 hours. This battery will recharge upon the return of electricity.
